Opal 2.0.10
Ports are edited in place on the switch page and held to the profile they're assigned, every switch change goes through one review, each site has a Wireless page, and network equipment can be removed in one step and restored for 30 days.

New
- On the switch page, pick one port or several on the faceplate and a selection band appears. Change configuration turns the cards under it into the editor in place, and becomes Save and Exit, so saving never needs a scroll to the top.
- Every switch change goes through one review: the change shown as the switch's configuration, its side effects, the values that come from a profile or the site marked, the commands, and Why. Apply shows its progress and then what the switch read back, in the same dialog.
- Each port is assigned a port profile. Profiles that already matched a port are carried over once for you to confirm, and a port two profiles match waits for you to choose.
- Port compliance per rule, for a switch and for a site: port profile, VLANs, PoE, firmware and the switch template, each a share against a 95% target. A rule with nothing to judge says so.
- A switch whose ports drift from their profiles raises one notice, also in Needs a decision. Stage the fix holds exactly the corrective changes for you to save and review; nothing is ever fixed on its own. Each port shows when it went out of profile.
- Each site has a Wireless page beside Network: connected, wireless clients, approved firmware and access points with issues, then one line per access point with its firmware, model, port speed, clients, traffic, channel and power per band, and the switch port it hangs off.
- Remove from Cenovel, on the switch page, the access point page and each row of a site's Devices and Wireless lists. It asks what happened to the device and sets its asset to Retired, In storage or the replace flow, stops polling, closes its outages, removes its links and port assignments, and keeps its history. Removed equipment can be restored from the site's Devices page for 30 days.
- Find devices trusts a device's SSH key on first contact inside the listed management networks, then reads it. A key that later changes is refused until a person confirms it. The setting is on the discovery page and can be turned off.
Improved
- Extreme and Aerohive access points are read by Cenovel itself, over SNMP or SSH: firmware, uptime, radios on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, clients, and the wired uplink's speed and traffic. The access point page shows them without a controller.
- An access point's read firmware is kept on its record, never over a version someone typed, and an access point that answered Cenovel counts as seen.
- Picking a profile in the port editor assigns it once the change is confirmed, and the review says so.
- The firmware tile names the version a switch should run, and each VLAN in the editor says where it is defined: a switch template, the site's address plan, built in, or this switch only.
- Table rows are one line across Audits, E-Rate, Storerooms, RFID, Settings, Monitoring, Security and the access point radios, with the detail in its own column or the record.
- Plugged in lists ten devices, then Show all.
- Needs a decision lays out its columns the same however it is opened.
Fixed
- Links to access points, phones and other end devices never open or hold an uplink outage.
- Two records on one management address no longer stop every other device's read. The address is read once, neither record takes the answer, and Needs a decision names both records until one is corrected.
- A polling cycle that coincided with Find devices every ten minutes read nothing; it now waits and reads.
- Switches past the first 500 read identities no longer show as having no way to read them.
- After the computer sleeps or Cenovel stalls, polling recovers on the next cycle instead of failing, and says the pause was Cenovel's own.
- The upgrade runner passes after outages fold, and closes attention rows left open behind them.
- More menus fit their longest row.
- The open row's mark runs across pinned columns.
Security
- Removing equipment drops its trusted SSH key, so a device added back is trusted fresh; Restore never trusts a key again on its own.
- The SSH keys card can't take its page down when its answer is missing or malformed.
Upgrade notes
- Database changes, applied automatically when Cenovel starts: port profile assignments with the one carry-over, SSH trust on first contact (on), access point reads, removed equipment kept 30 days, and port compliance history. Install it as you installed 2.0.9.
- An instance whose 2.0.9 upgrade stopped at the outage check starts normally with 2.0.10.
- Leftover polling rows of equipment deleted before this release are cleared on the first start.
- Trust on first contact is on after the upgrade. Turn it off on the discovery page to keep trusting each key by hand.
